Stocks ended the trading day essentially flat with the S&P down 0.10%, the Nasdaq down 0.21% and the Dow (DJIA) up 0.06%. On the NYSE, declining stocks (1,548) were higher than advances (1,430). The Nasdaq had 1,258 decliners versus 1,152 advances.

  • Qlik Technologies (QLIK)’s stock was the highest gainer across the NYSE and Nasdaq today. Yesterday, after the end of trading, QLIK reported Q4 financial results that beat stock analysts estimates. 

  • Transcontinental Realty Investors (TCI), a real estate asset management firm, was the next highest gainer across the NYSE and Nasdaq. The stock soared 16.81% to close the day at $5.49

  • LogMeIn (LOGM) stock, dropped -29.63 today, making it the biggest loser across the NYSE and Nasdaq. LogMeIn reported Q4 figures and also announced Q1 guidance that disappointed investors.

  • Shares of Amicus Therapeutics (FOLD) were the next biggest loser, declining -25.71% to close the day at $2.89. Investors scrambled to dump the stock after the company presented disappointing results from its Phase 3 Fabry Monotherapy tests.
