  • Highlights: Increase in EPS; All-time Q1 sales record; Paid $440M in dividends; $805M in share buybacks; 2013 EPS guidance of $6.00-$6.85 versus prior guidance of $6.70-$6.95 per share.
  • Revenue: Sales increased from $7.4B last year by 2% to $7.6B, which was an all-time high for Q1 sales.
  • Net Income: Net Income came in at $1.1B, which was flat (at $1.1B) from last year. Operating Income was reported as $1.6B, with Operating Income margin at 21.6%.   
  • EPS/Diluted: EPS was $1.61/share, which was an increase of 1.3% from last year. This was slightly below analyst expectations of $1.65/share.MMM
